They remember encounters with God\, friendships formed\, and moments that changed their lives. Over these conference days\, Jesus Youth from across the country will come together to close our 25th Jubilee Year. \nThe conference will emphasize unstructured conversations\, breakouts\, prayer circles\, and encounter spaces rather than relying solely on keynotes and speakers. There will be plenty of time to relax\, have fun\, eat together\, and reconnect with one another. At its heart\, the conference will be Eucharist-centered\, with prayer and worship serving as its lifeblood. \nAll adults aged 18 and older will come together in one shared track\, with further breakouts available based on individual interests. Separate tracks will also be offered for high school\, middle school\, and elementary school students\, along with ministry- and lifestyle-based meetups. Childcare will be made available for younger children during key sessions so that parents can participate fully. \nBeyond the formal programming\, the conference will include outdoor events\, arts\, music\, and theatre\, as well as space for dreaming together about what the future might hold. \nHow do I receive the plenary indulgence during UPSTREAM?\nThe Church offers plenary indulgences to help Christians grow in faith through prayer\, penance and charity. During the Jesus Youth USA Jubilee Year\, the Holy See\, through the Apostolic Penitentiary in Rome\, has granted a plenary indulgence for those attending UPSTREAM as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of Jesus Youth in the United States\, December 29 – January 2 (No. 1103/26/I). \nTo receive the plenary indulgence\, the following criteria must be met: \n\nGo to sacramental Confession\nReceive Holy Communion\nPray for the Holy Father’s intentions\nBe detached from all sin\, including venial sin\nBe present at the Jubilee Conference\n\nWho can attend UPSTREAM?\nUPSTREAM welcomes every Jesus Youth\, whether you’ve walked with the movement since its earliest days or have joined us more recently. While there is one main Missionary Track for all adults (18+)\, the journey also creates space for meaningful breakouts based on life situations\, common interests\, and areas of mission. This allows us to share the same missionary vision and formation while connecting more intentionally with others who may be walking through similar seasons of life or share particular passions and interests. \nAlongside the main Missionary Track\, we’ll offer dedicated tracks for Teens\, Middle Schoolers\, and Elementary Kids\, along with daycare for children under 5 – so that every member of the family can Come Alive in their calling. \nI have kids… how can I possibly come to UPSTREAM?\nBring them! We would be happy to explore available options with you. \nWho do I contact if I have concerns about my room?\nPlease reach out to the conference core team by email or in person so we can address your concerns. \nWhat should I do if I call Ridgecrest and the room I want isn’t available?\nPlease let us know right away. Most room categories should still have availability\, but Ridgecrest requires us to add the additional room count to our contract before they can release those rooms. Once you tell us which rooms are unavailable\, we’ll follow up with Ridgecrest directly to have them added and made available to you. \nPlease note: All Walnut rooms are booked\, and no additional Walnut rooms are available. \nWill I lose my early-bird pricing while I wait for a suitable room?\nNo. The room registration amount does not change based on the early-bird deadline. As long as you have registered for the conference at the applicable early-bird rate ($300 for families\, $150 for individuals\, or $50 for the applicable registration category)\, your early-bird conference pricing is secured. You don’t need to worry about losing it while waiting for a suitable room to become available. \nMy family has 7 people\, but the room is listed for 6. Can we still stay in it?\nYes. The number of people listed for each room is based on its bed size and bed count. If you’re able to manage\, you can add a few more people\, especially if they are small children. For example\, a family of 7 can stay in a room listed for 6. For extra comfort\, you’re also welcome to bring an air mattress and extra comforters. \nAs a young adult or individual registrant\, how do I room with three friends?\nIf you’d prefer to stay together in a room rather than use bunk-bed housing\, please select either the Pritchell or the Mount Laurel West lodging option (subject to availability). One person should pay for the room and coordinate the reservation with the three other friends\, who must be of the same gender. Because room types and availability may be limited\, we recommend that your group make arrangements early rather than waiting until closer to the conference. \nShould I drive or fly? Which airport should I use?\nDriving is the preferred option for reaching Ridgecrest Conference Center. \nIf you are flying\, Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is the closest airport to the venue. \nCharlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Ridgecrest. A limited\, first-come-first-served shuttle will be available from CLT to Ridgecrest for guests arriving by 2:00 PM ET on December 29\, 2026\, at a subsidized cost per person. \nPlease note: Shuttle seats are limited and not guaranteed\, so please plan your travel accordingly. \nWhere can I sign up for the shuttle service for airport pickup?\nCloser to the conference\, we will send a separate form where you can share your travel details and request a shuttle seat.
